Troodon formosus

Troodon was a small feathered dinosaur, very closely related to birds. It live in the northwest of North America in the Late Cretaceous, approximately 70 million years ago. Here it is shown under a magnolia tree in the Arctic spring.

Flowering plants evolved in the early part of the Cretaceous period, and familiar varieties had appeared by Troodon's time.
